The work history on the prior pages show the my work history as it relates to those skill sets. This is my chronological work history for the last 25 years (since returning to college).
You will note several overlaps in dates due to the fact that often I worked 2-3 jobs at a time to support my family, or as a hobby (Such as Sacramento Raceway Park).
I have included the reasons for leaving each job so that you can understand why it appears that I changed jobs often.
2008-2009 California Department of Forestry and Fire, MMU Merced, Ca
Limited Term Fire Apparatus Engineer contracted to Merced County Fire
At-will employee under contract to Merced County. Laid off due to budget cuts.
2004-2008 Bright Hope Designs Kelsey, Ca
Co-Owner and Director of Client Development; website development company
Due to the downturn in the economy that severely impacted our business, I needed to find an outside source of income .
1997-2009 Garden Valley Fire Protection District Garden Valley, Ca
Volunteer, Paid-Call, Part-time and Career Apparatus Operator, Engineer and acting Night Duty Captain.
Was full time from 2002-2004 when I was hired as a paramedic intern. Was laid off when I was unable to complete the internship. Continued to work on an “as needed” basis as vacation-sick relief until the current Chief was hired and I joined Cal Fire. Resigned as a volunteer due to the economy and time constraints, as well as lack of promotional opportunities.

Laid off when the “Dot-Com crash caused the loss of most of the companies contracts and a company-wide shut down.

Went to Walker Communications for a promotion and better pay.

Changed jobs because of the winter commute and for advancement opportunities.

Fire Dispatcher
Laid off due to loss of contracts with the local fire departments.
1990-2003 Sacramento Raceway Park Sacramento, Ca
Part-time event security crew member and supervisor.
Part time only. Job was primarily a hobby. Resigned due to time constraints.
1990-1994 Corporate Training Services Sacramento, Ca
Part-time industrial first aid, confined space rescue, tower rescue and work place safety instructor.
Company closed when primary contract was lost.

Rejected from Probation. Injured during horseplay on the training grounds after hours and was unable to complete the program.

Job was interim. Finished College and moved out of the area.
1974-1986 Living History Center Novato, Ca
Event Security Lieutenant, Fire Crew Boss and after-hours EMS responder.
Company was experiencing chronic financial difficulties. Left to go to college to become a State Park Ranger.
Note: I have not included several part time and temp jobs I have held due to the fact that I have no record of them and cannot honestly proved names or dates.This is not an intentional attempt to conceal anything. As mentioned above, I have often held 2-3 jobs at a time for financial or other reasons.
